From the north coast of Finistère, the Roscoff pink onion is the ancient 'Armorique Rose' variety, first brought to Roscoff by a Portuguese monk in 1762. We buy direct from a long-standing organic farmer. The variety thrives on the Pink Granite Coast, developing a unique taste and texture loved by chefs around the world.

Harvested between July and August, it holds AOC and PDO status. Equally good cooked or raw, it is fragrant but not too strong on the palate.

Voyage: sailed on Ibis on 2 August from the Roscoff coast to Plymouth.
