Douarnenez Maritime Festival

The Fêtes Maritimes de Douarnenez (Temps Fête), held biennially in Douarnenez , is a major international maritime festival celebrating traditional, historic wooden boats. The event features hundreds of sailing vessels, live music, street performances, and regional cuisine at Port du Rosmeur. It runs for several days, showcasing maritime heritage through parades, workshops, and lively, authentic Breton culture. 

Ibis will set sail from Plymouth in good time to cruise along the breton coastline, past the point of Finisterre. This iconic sailing ground is legendary for its tides and stunning seascapes. We’ll explore North Brittany, Ushant, and the Baie de Douarnenez, sailing in company with beautiful boats in a historic medieval harbour alive with music, food, craftsmanship, and maritime culture where there will be time to soak up French café life, coastal swims, and one of Europe’s most authentic maritime festivals.
